Happy new year, folks! It’s going to be a good one ’round here — lots of great stuff in the pipeline for our website and our print journals that we can’t wait to show you. But there’s always room for improvement, and for that — always — we can look to Woody. Check out his “New Year’s Rulin’s” from 1943 and pick you out a few.

You might not know his name, but you’re definitely familiar with his work — Allan Williams, the first manager for the Beatles, died last week in Liverpool. He’s credited with transforming the Fab Four from a local band to a a full-fledged rock group that, you know, went on to change the world. [The New York Times]
