‘Wash Teeth’ and Other Plans for the New Year
Happy new year, folks! It’s going to be a good one ’round here — lots of great stuff in the pipeline for our website and our print journals that we can’t wait to show you. Another fine resolution might be to listen to more of Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcasts. His last two guests have been Bruce Springsteen — who made headlines with his frank talk about politics, depression, and daddy issues — and David Bromberg.
You might not know his name, but you’re definitely familiar with his work — Allan Williams, the first manager for the Beatles, died last week in Liverpool. He’s credited with transforming the Fab Four from a local band to a a full-fledged rock group that, you know, went on to change the world. [The New York Times]

If you’ve been tuning in to “The OA,” a new sci-fi show on Netflix, you might have seen a familiar face — and heard a familiar voice. Here’s a great chat with her (only read the top, though, unless you’re ready for spoilers) — and how she’s just as curious as you are to find out what happens next. [Huffington Post]
