Why I Vote.
“It’s not like one vote counts.”
“They’re all the same, what does it matter?”
“Why bother?”
Every election year, we hear reason after reason for not voting. Excuse after excuse.
Know why I vote?
Because I can.
Because until 1920, women could not vote. Because women like Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Lucretia Mott, and so man other suffragettes, fought for that right.
I exercise my right to vote with gratitude, and respect for all who came before me to make this possible for me.
