It’s a busy week in Americanaland! AmericanaFest is happening now in Nashville (check out our coverage of the Awards & Honors show, including big winners and big moments, here), and our own FreshGrass Festival starts today in North Adams, Massachusetts. We’ve also got a bunch of new releases from several of roots music’s elder statesmen — Richard Thompson, Alejandro Escovedo, Willie Nelson, and more.
We’ve also got a hurricane in our midst who we’d just as soon not invite to the party. Here in North Carolina (inland, thankfully), I’m hunkered down with plenty of supplies (lots to drink, way too many snacks), and all of us at ND hope our friends in the Southeast will weather this storm safely and be back on the grid for more good music and good reads soon.
